Principal Investigator, Artificial Intelligence

Brant trained as an electrical engineer at the University of New Brunswick, where his 1990 senior report, VLSI and Neural Systems, began a long interest in computational intelligence. He went on to research the application of neural networks to software reengineering at the University of Aberdeen, presenting that work at IEEE ICNN'94 and ICANN'94.

He then moved into financial technology, serving as chief information officer at large banks and founding several fintech companies, before turning to the space industry and the companies behind Mach33 Financial Group.

At 33 Laboratories he leads the research in artificial intelligence, including the agentic architecture and the Truth Agent that underpin the laboratory's work.
